As a third-generation business owner in the construction industry, Tommy Smith Jr’s passion for the business runs deep in his blood. At a young age Tommy worked for his father’s company every summer and every break he had in school. Even during his studies at the University of North Alabama the construction industry kept him busy as he worked his way through college.

Shortly after graduation Tommy took the big step into self-employment and founded his own company River Valley Roofing & Construction. “ There is something special about the Shoals Area, I like to think of everyone here as my closest neighbors, and treat them as such” Tommy says. Supporting local businesses is important to him, and bringing unmatched hospitality and communication to everyone he meets is one of his personal goals.
